Sharing A Favorite Vintage Wash Crystal Necklace

sterling silver necklace frames and crystals

This is one of my favorite pieces of jewelry and finally got around to snappin a pix of it today. Handmade with sterling silver chain and bead frames.

This look lends itself nicely to using up different sizes of crystals. I must admit (again) that I am a fan of wearing chain pieces because they move around with you.

Chain and frames have been vintage washed, aka oxidized to pull out textures and details.

Enjoy you weekend!

Cynthia

P.S. I am preparing for a bead gig this weekend in Waynesville Ohio. If you're local, click this link for some hands on shopping.

Who Else Wants More Antique Chain for Jewelry Making FUN?

I guess by now you've noticed that we really like designing with chain. As we've indicated before, chain, whether it's hot or not is a very versatile element in jewelry composition.

But For Now.. Vintage and Antique Styles are all the Rage!

And these two chains below meet all the criteria for great looking versatile chain oozing with old world charm.

Antique Brass Chain #25

NEW! Russian Gold Chain #13

russian gold chain

Here's 3 reasons why this chain is a keeper.

  1. Soldered Links… Critical for chain extensions and loading lots of charms and beads, nothing slips through
  2. Textured… Shows off the vintage wash with a nice matte like finish
  3. Larger and heavier links... Great for Charm Bracelet because it can handle some weight

So if your looking for a new chain to boost your creativity, it makes sense to be picky and invest in the quality chain.

More Great News….We expect this cable chain to arrive in more of your favorite finishes like antique silver, antique copper, gunmetal and 24 kt gold in the very near future.

Stay Tuned,

Cynthia,

New Gold Filled Earwires…. Just In Time For SpringFlings!!

new gold filled earwires

I really love it when new components come in. I especially love when these components are easy to use and great things can be made with only small amounts of effort.

Pictured here are 14k gold filled long ball end earwires , then a long kidney earwires and featured in the center are delicate cutie circle earwires.

Here' s a detail of earrings I just made today using the new circle ball end earwire..

Added a cognac cubic zirconia link in sterling silver to the earwire and then half wrapped a freshwater pearl. The two tone metals keeps it fresh and can match many things. Also, pretty enough for special occasions.

I'll be posting about some new chain in a couple of days.

See ya then
